Looking for golf carts for sale? you may want to rethink your decision to buy one - at least that’s what some local authorities think.
With a quick glance at figures, it appears as if injuries to do with golf carts are increasing and look to be rising even further in the next few years. In a recent article by a law firm they wrote:
“Oddly enough, golf carts are causing a greater number of injuries in recent years. A July 2008 American Journal of Preventive Medicine article related that, from 1990 until 2006, accident rates rose more than 130 percent. Almost 150,000 golf cart-related injuries were recorded during this time period in people from two months old to 96 years old.”
These increasing accident statistics have also been repeated by local authorities in Newnan and including some cities in Iowa as they fear more accidents. However, the increase of mishaps could be due to an increase in residents using them on the road without proper training. In Ely, this has been revealed and although golf carts are legalized, users must have a license and use protective equipment as well as displaying adequate signage on their cart when they are using it on the roads.
